Dr Bob NFL Week 10 Survivor Strategy

Dr. Bob’s Survivor Strategy Week 10

Welcome back to Dr. Bob’s Weekly Survivor Strategy blog.

Last week, we went 1-1, with our Contrarian Ravens winning against the Dolphins on Thursday, and our EE-favorite Packers losing to the Panthers on Sunday. Through 9 weeks, we are now a combined 14-4 across suggested picks for the season (6-3 on EE-favorite, 8-1 on Contrarian). Unfortunately, we chose the Packers with our final remaining entry last week, so we are officially eliminated from the Circa Survivor contest.

We would like to thank everyone who has tuned into the blog this year. I hope you were able to use our picks to help yourself win and advance in your own Survivor pools (Circa Survivor or otherwise).

As we wrap up our NFL Survivor coverage, we wanted to let you know that we will not be continuing this blog on a weekly basis going forward although I have some thoughts below for week 10.

We’re shifting our focus to the college basketball season, where we have started off hot: through the first 3 days of the season, our Best Bets are 21-8 for +12.1 Stars, and our Opinions (0.5 Star plays) are 11-6 for +2.15 Stars, for a total of +14.25 stars. We are planning to release over 1,000 bets throughout the season. If you would like to see our College Basketball subscription packages, you can check them out here.

If you would like to continue getting our picks (along with in-depth analysis of every NFL game), you can sign up for a NFL subscription on our website here.

Here are some quick thoughts on survivor possibilities for Week 10 if you’re still alive

Buffalo

Most likely to win this week but also has the highest future value – particularly in week 14 and week 18. You can use them here if you’ve got Tampa Bay available to play in week 14 at home against the Saints and Jacksonville available for week 18 against the Titans. Also reasonable to use here if you’ve got other good week 14 options (Detroit, Green Bay, KC, the Rams).

Detroit

Detroit also has a lot of future value and should be saved for week 12 at home against the Giants unless you also have Baltimore to use against the Jets or Seattle to use at Tennessee in week 12.

Indianapolis

The Colts have a really good chance to win in Berlin on Sunday morning and don’t have a ton of future line value. If you still have them available then consider using them here and saving Buffalo, Detroit, Seattle for another week.

Seattle

The Seahawks have a better chance to win in week 12 at Tennessee and you’ll need them for that if you’ve already used Detroit and Baltimore.

Chicago

I give the Bears a 72% chance to win this week and they’d be a good choice here unless you need them for week 15 at home vs Cleveland, which is the only other time they’d be a consideration.

Carolina

No future value at all for the Panthers, as the only other game they might be favored in is the game at New Orleans. If you’re in a pool that is likely to go to week 17 or week 18 and are running out of good teams to save then you might be forced to use the Panthers this week.
