ALABAMA (-28)  43   Western Kentucky  12

Western Kentucky’s new quarterback Mike White, a former starter at South Florida, had a very good debut with 25 completions on 31 passes for 517 yards and 3 touchdowns against zero interceptions. That was against a horrendous Rice defense that ranks at the bottom of the nation in my pass defense ratings. This is Alabama that White is facing this week and the Crimson Tide made USC’s plethora of talented and experienced offensive players look like high schoolers. The Hilltoppers have no rushing attack (just 3.4 yprp last week) and that will lead to all out pass rushes on most downs. I was impressed by White last week and I’d be even more impressed if he can average even 5 yards per pass play in this game.

Alabama’s offense was not as good as the 51-6 score against USC indicates and I like the Under (62 ½) in this game.
