UNLV suffered the biggest upset in NCAA history in week 1, losing as a 44 ½ point favorite to Howard. However, the Rebels outgained Howard 8.7 yards per play to 5.2 yppl and then they outgained Idaho 8.3 yppl to 5.5 yppl in an upset win the next week. There still might be an overreaction to that week 1 upset loss, that should have been a 19 point win based on the stats, as my math using this year’s games only favors Ohio State by 37 ½ points. Urban Meyer, however, is 49-17-1 ATS against non-conference opponents in his coaching career. I’d stay away from the side in this game, although there is some value on the over.
