GEORGIA TECH (-9 ½) 30 Pittsburgh 21
It’s tough to call this game without knowing which Pitt quarterback will start. If you’ve been reading my analysis then you know how much I think former USC starter Max Browne sucks, so the Panthers could be better if Ben DiNucci gets more time. But, maybe not. My math model only favors Georgia Tech by 9 ½ points using this year’s games only and the Panthers’ offense is likely to improve with a quarterback change. Pitt also defends the run better than they defend the pass so facing a Yellow Jackets team that runs the ball 80% of the time is a good match-up for the Panthers. That match-up is already included in the math projection and I see no value in this game.
