TENNESSEE (-27)   37   Ohio  15

Tennessee has not come close to being as good as they were ranked heading into this season. The Volunteers needed overtime to beat Appalachian State and they were outplayed 5.1 yards per play to 5.9 yppl in their deceiving 45-24 win over Virginia Tech last week. That win was courtesy of a +5 in fumble margin, which is completely random.

So far this season Tennessee has averaged 332 yards at 4.8 yards per play and they’ve allowed 360 yards at 5.2 yppl, which is not exactly worthy of the hype they were getting coming into this season.

I’m not a fan of Ohio this season and I bet them to win under 7.5 games, but the Bobcats are not a horrible team and they have a good enough run defense to keep this game close. Ohio has only allowed 3.6 yards per rushing play, which is good even when compensating for facing two poor running teams, Texas State and Kansas. I’d consider Ohio a Strong Opinion if the line gets up to +28 points or more.
