Game Analysis
Texas (-7) vs Michigan
This game is impossible to handicap without knowing which starters for Michigan will play. Interim coach Biff Poggi has stated that 12 to 15 players have decided not to play this game, yet he gave no details on which players he’s referring to. The Wolverines have also not released a depth chart for this game.
Of the players known to be out for each team Texas is in worse shape but it’s hard to know which Michigan players will be out. Most of the players made the trip but there are a lot of injured Wolverines that are key performers, including the top two running backs Haynes and Marshall (#3 back sucks), #2 tackler LB Ernest Hausmann, who missed the final 2 games, and a few others. Edge rusher Derrick Moore (10 sacks) is certainly out, as is LB Jaishawn Barham (10 total tackles for loss) and their starting left guard El-Hadi.
Texas also has a long list of players that intend to transfer or have opted out, including 7 of their top 11 tacklers on defense.
My gut tells me Michigan is the side and given all the defensive talent that Texas will be without, but I’m not going to post a prediction on this game.
