MASSACHUSETTS (+1 ½) 25 Florida International 21
This is a key game for my Florida International under 5.5 wins play and I still think the Panthers are overrated despite getting blown out at home the first two weeks by Indiana (lost 13-34) and by Maryland (lost 14-41 in a Best Bet winner). U Mass has looked horrible offensively against two good defensive teams (Florida and BC) but the Minutemen have performed much better than expected defensively in allowing just 25 points per game and 5.2 yards per play. My preseason ratings had U Mass as 1 point better than FIU and that is still the case. Add in the home field advantage and I’ll call for a 4 point win for the Minutemen.
