Syracuse returned 8 starters on offense, including quarterback Eric Dungey, but the absence of 3rd Team All-American WR Amba Etta-Tawo will likely lead to a less potent offense this season and the 5.7 yards per pass play that Dungey has averaged in the first two games against Central Connecticut State and Middle Tennessee State is an indication that I am correct in my assessment. Syracuse lost straight up as a double-digit favorite to MTS last week but Central Michigan is not as good as the Blue Raiders and the Orange should win this game. However, former Michigan quarterback Shane Morris amassed 467 yards on just 37 pass plays in the Chippewas’ 45-27 upset victory at Kansas last week. I lean with the dog here and I like the Under.
