The odds appear to have overreacted a bit to Florida’s upset loss to LSU, as my math favors Bama by just 15 points. Florida’s underlying stats in last week’s loss actually were very good, as the Gators outgained LSU 609 yards at 8.2 yppl to 420 yards at 4.9 yppl, which is a line of scrimmage rating of +25.0 points.
Alabama is obviously the better team on both sides of the ball but this number is a bit too high.
