Akron allowed VMI to complete 28 of 37 passes for 300 yards. That’s not good. However, the Zips had one of the better run defenses in college football last season and their defensive line is still strong. That matches up well with a Wisconsin team that would prefer to run the ball and isn’t as likely as most teams to exploit the vulnerable Akron secondary. Even with that matchup advantage my ratings still favor the Badgers by 25 points.
