Opinion – Washington State (+14 ½) over USC

USC has now lost 4 consecutive games, including the last 3 on the road, but big favorites have historically been bad bets after 3 or more consecutive road games, especially if their last game was a loss and spread loss, as is the case here. USC applies to a 31-86-2 ATS situation that is based on the premise but the situation isn’t quite strong enough for me to make it a Best Bet unless I’ve got some line value. My ratings favor USC by 15 points, so the line is still a bit low despite coming up 2 points from the opening number of 12.5 points. I’ll lean with Washington State at+14 or more based on the situation and I’d take Washington State in a 1-Star Best Bet at +15 points or more.
