BUFFALO (-10) vs Tennessee

· The Bills looked impressive in the season opener, in which they outgained the Rams 7.1 yppl to 3.7 yppl, and they are justifiably double-digit favorites over Tennessee on Monday night.

· In the past, Buffalo has saved Josh Allen’s rushing ability for the playoffs presumably to help the quarterback avoid injury. However, Allen was unchained under new offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey with 10 carries for 56 yards and a touchdown. I think the Bills took to heart the power of the one-seed currently in the NFL after back-to-back years of ending their season at Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City. They showed last Thursday night they are willing to unleash the full capabilities of the offense in the regular season.

· One of the only Bills to not perform well in week 1 was RG Ryan Bates, who ranked 61st in pass blocking efficiency last week out of 67 qualifying guards with Aaron Donald on the other side of the ball. Bates will see his matchup go from Donald to Titans interior defender Jeffery Simmons, who tallied five hurries and two sacks in the season opener.

· Buffalo’s defense did not blitz Matthew Stafford to protect their young CBs with Pro Bowl cornerback Tre’Davious White sidelined. The Bills got home for five sacks despite not sending extra pass rushers. Interior defender Jordan Phillips had two of those sacks, but I think he’ll be more limited on Monday without DT Ed Oliver next to him. Oliver ranked 8th in pass rushing efficiency last season and is worth 0.4 points according to our numbers. 

· Ryan Tannehill will have to be aware when Titans rookie RT Nicholas Petit-Frere is lined up across from edge defender Von Miller, who had two sacks and three hurries against his old team in the season opener.

· Our model has the Bills by 11.5 with a predicted total of 48.0.
