Florida was impressive offensively in their 51-35 win at Ole’ Miss (625 yards at 8.4 yards pear play) but the Gators also gave up 613 yards at 7.9 yppl in that game. Florida’s offense is very good, but not as good as they were last week, and their defense is much better than last week’s performance.
South Carolina played Tennessee pretty evenly in a 4 point loss that could be blamed on being -2 in turnovers and new Gamecocks’ quarterback Collin Hill, who played for OC Mike Bobo at Colorado State, played well in completing 64% of his passes and averaging 6.3 yards per pass play against a solid Tennessee defense. My updated ratings favor Florida by 14 points with a projected total of 56.2 points.
