SMU (-13)  36   Navy  26

Both teams should have success offensively, as SMU’s defensive weakness is stopping the run while Navy’s defense is bad at everything, allowing 6.6 yards per play to teams that would combine to average 5.8 yppl against an average defense. SMU is not as potent without superstar WR Reggie Roberson, who was averaging an incredible 15.3 yards per target before getting injured. Roberson missed 6 games last season and the Mustangs were 1.0 yards per pass play worse in those games than they were with Roberson and I expected a similar drop this season – although Buechele should throw it will in this game.
