Mississippi (+1)  30   MISSISSIPPI STATE  29

Mississippi has been better offensively with running quarterback John Rhys Plumlee (1035 rushing yards in 7+ games at 8.0 yards per rushing play) splitting snaps with passing quarterback Matt Corrall (who’s actually only 0.3 yards per pass play better than Plumlee) while Miss State is worse off with Tommy Stevens at quarterback instead of freshman Garrett Shrader, as Stevens has been 0.4 yards per pass play worse (compensated for opposing defenses) and has not been as good as a runner (5.8 yards per rushing play vs FBS teams for Stevens and 7.4 yprp for Shrader). Shrader has only played mop-up duty vs Abilene Christian over their Bulldogs’ last 3 games so I’ll assume he won’t play here unless Stevens really struggles.

After the adjustments my math favor Ole’ Miss by 1.4 points.
