Lean – Kansas State (+13.5)  20   OKLAHOMA  29

Kansas State’s surprising loss to Tulane sets up the Wildcats in a 45-7 ATS big road underdog bounce-back situation and my ratings only favor the Sooners by 10 points in this game. The Wildcats have struggled much more than expected offensively, as former Nebraska star quarterback Adrian Martinez has been reluctant to throw the ball down the field and has averaged just 7.4 yards per completion and only 4.2 yards per pass play. Martinez should start looking down the field a bit more but his sudden conservative nature is keeping the ball out of harm’s way, as just 1 of his passes has been defended against (zero interceptions thrown).

The conservative offense and strong defense (just 9.7 points per game allowed on 4.3 yppl against teams that would average 5.5 yppl against an average defense) should keep this game competitive.
