Florida State has looked dreadful in two games so far under new coach Willie Taggart, losing 3-24 to Virginia Tech and barely beating FCS team Samford last week in a game in which they were dominated from the line of scrimmage. Florida State is more talented than they’ve shown and Taggart is a good coach so I suspect the Noles will turn things around at some point. Plus, the market has certainly adjusted to their poor play, as this line probably would have been around 10 points prior to the season starting. FSU should be able to get their offense going in this game against a Syracuse team that gave up 621 yards and 9.7 yards per play to Western Michigan and my updated ratings favor the Seminoles by 5 points here. However, Syracuse applies to a 99-30-1 ATS home underdog situation. There is a wide range of possible results for this game and I suggest passing.
